Disavowing Rainsy link: Accused ex-CNRP duo deny involvement in ‘coup plot’

Phnom Penh Municipal Court yesterday continued the trial of the exiled former opposition party leader Sam Rainsy and another 65 CNRP former parliamentarians and activists accused of creating serious chaos to public security and attempting to overthrow the current government committed in Phnom Penh and elsewhere between 2018 and 2019.
At yesterday’s trial, the court completed questioning Chea Morn, 53, former deputy chief of the CNRP’s Tuol Tumpong I commune, and Prom Rath, 30, former deputy chief of CNRP’s Youth Movement based in South Korea.
