Duterte eyes draconian measures to curb Covid

MANILA (Manila Times) – The Philippines would be “in serious trouble” if COVID-19 cases in the country would reach millions, President Rodrigo Duterte said, as he raised the possibility of using “draconian measures” to curb the spread of the virus.
Duterte aired his concern after coronavirus infections surged past 500,000.
“I hope it would not reach millions because then we would be in serious trouble. We would be no better than the other countries whose rise are really exponential,” he said.
The President raised the possibility of using “draconian measures” such as preventing everyone from le
