660 complaints on corruption filed last year

A total of 660 complaints of corruption were filed last year, the National Council Against Corruption (NCAC) said yesterday.
In a press release dated January 29, the NCAC said that out of the 660 complaints filed, 350 cases were investigated and findings revealed that there was no clear evidence of corrupt deeds in almost all cases.
Following investigations, the Anti-Corruption Unit said they only found seven cases that had evidence of corruption and were referred to court last year while 20 individuals were issued warning letters.
